Grade: MS69 NGC certified.
Mintage of only 22,009 coins. There are two date-style versions of the 1996 Gold Panda corresponding with the two mints that made the coins: Large Date and Small Date. The mintage of each date variety is not known, but it is much less than 22,000 and likely near 11,000.
Gold: 1oz .999 pure
In the mid 1990's gold demand was low, so 1994-2000 mintages were exceptionally low. Some dealer stock may have been melted for jewelry. These years are scarce.
